Business related to school must be
conducted between 7:30 a.m. - 7:50
a.m. Monday -Thursday. Conferences
provide a valuable means of
communication between parents
and guardians and the teacher.
This is an opportunity for the parent
to share concerns with the
teacher and is very important in
solving student problems. When
there is a concern that relates to the academic progress or
the personal adjustment of the child the first point of contact
with the school should be the classroom teacher. If
you would like next to discuss the matter with your child's
counselor or an assistant principal, please feel free to
make those arrangements.
When contacting the principal, please have your previous
contacts with the teacher, counselor, or assistant principal,
documented so that the principal can make an appropriate
investigation and get back to you promptly.
Remember, to prevent classroom disruption, parents/
guardians may request a conference with the teacher by
completing a parent/teacher conference form. Teachers
may request conferences at anytime during the school
year for the following reasons:
- academic deficiencies
- lack of daily effort
- unexcused absences or excessive tardies
- non-compliance with established school code or other
school policies
- positive improvement or other positive information
relating to your child
Parents must arrange to meet with school personnel at the
following designated times:
- 7:30 a.m.-7:50 a.m.
- During a prearranged conference time.
For purposes of security no one is permitted to enter
the
building and go directly to a classroom.
All visitors must stop at the office first to obtain an official
pass before visiting a teacher for a conference. Any visitor
who reports to a classroom for a conference unannounced
or without an office pass will be asked to report to the
main office to comply with this important security procedure.
Please note that because of school security, teachers
have been advised to signal the office and ask unannounced
visitors or those without an official office pass to
return to the main office for proper classroom admittance.
