Student Health
Students entering the public schools for
the first time, as well as those entering
grades 1, 5 and 9 must have a complete
examination with an updated immunization
record. A student who does not
have the required physical and immunizations
by the opening of school in September
as mandated by state law will be
medically excluded and will not be
permitted to attend school until the health requirements
are met.
Teachers should be notified, in writing of any allergies
or other health problems. This information will be
forwarded to the school nurse, and noted in the student's
records.
Medication
Students may not have any medication in their possession
without a note from the doctor and parent. By law, staff
members are not permitted to give medication to students.
