Principal's Message
BEASLEY ACADEMIC CENTER
APRIL 28, 2008
Dear Parents,
Although there are six weeks remaining in the current school year, we wish to say "WELCOME TO OUR 2008 - 2009" SCHOOL YEAR at "OUR SCHOOL OF DISTINCTION!
Our eighth graders (SENIORS ON CAMPUS) are excited and busy preparing for their graduation from elementary school. Parents, we need your support as we work collaboratively to ensure that our students maintain the educational momentum that is needed to be successful and to complete this school year with excellence.
All of our students are busy at work, learning, and engaging in many fun-filled, enjoyable activities. Our teachers and staff are equally engaged in preparing lessons and activities which will continue to enhance the students' knowledge and skills across the curriculum.
Parents, we value and appreciate your continued support and partnership in our quest for providing "Academic Excellence" for our students in a safe and healthy environment conducive to learning.
NOTES: Continue to help keep your student "focused" and "organized" by checking the folders, the homework, the backpacks, etc.
Please adhere to directives published in "The Beasley Bee" Newsletters relative to the school parking lot. A student was accidentally hit and injured in the parking lot last week!
Parents, please read this letter with your student, discuss, and reinforce the following points in an effort to make sure that your student completes the school year in good academic standing:
- The importance of "Good Discipline" and "Good Behavior" at all times: On the
school bus, during school hours, after school hours, etc.
- Uniform Compliance: Black belt, shirts and blouses tucked in, school shoes
(Gym shoes should only be worn during gym class.)
- DEAR Program: Make sure that your student comes to school with a book to read
prior to the start of the school day; students are allowed to play chess, also.
- Social Interaction with Peers: The importance of getting along with peers, "Good Citizenship," Not reacting to everything!
Parents, begin to plan now for summer activities for your student so that he/she can continue to learn and so that your student will not experience any "summer slide" in academics. Again, we are soliciting your continued support and partnership in working to keep our students focused with a positive attitude as we conclude our school year!
Yours in Education,
Philistine Tweedle
